I have never watched Love Island, but this week I found out that fast fashion has been a huge part – and problem – for a while. After receiving backlash for the relationship with these problematic companies, the show decided to team up with eBay to dress the contestants in secondhand looks. While this may seem small, fast fashion influence through television and social media is a massive driver for overconsumption. This is an exciting step that shows some accountability on the part of the show and the people featured.

About 20 years ago, my older sister had a pile of clothes in the corner of her room that she definitely hadn't picked up in weeks. In it was a gray and black vest that I had seen her wear a few times, and I snagged it like the demented little sister I am and have kept it the whole time. This week, I decided to wear it because it's perfect for the in-between temperatures where it's kind of hot but also a little chilly. I posted it just to torture her and she took the bait. If you have a sibling - 10/10 recommend doing this.
Anyway, I couldn’t find the exact sweater but I found a similar 90s J.Crew vest that I might snag if you don’t.

The weather is getting warmer, which means I don't want to turn on my stove as much. As a result, I'm getting into fancy toasts and have been scouring the internet for ideas that aren't just avocado with some salt. Sweet potato on toast is surprisingly amazing.
